Add Internal Comments to an Inspection

Use Comments to add internal notes and communicate with other users about a specific inspection. Comments can be viewed from both the SnapInspect Mobile App and Web App by users who have access to the inspection and its associated asset.

Please note: Comments are for internal communication and are not included in the inspection report.

Add or View Comments on the Mobile App

Once an inspection has been completed and uploaded:

  1. Sync the Mobile App to ensure the latest inspection information is available.

  2. Open the completed inspection.

  3. Tap Comments.

  4. Add a comment or view comments previously added to the inspection.

Other users with access to the inspection can sync their Mobile App and open Comments to view the conversation.

Add or View Comments on the Web App

  1. Navigate to Inspections in the SnapInspect Web App.

  2. Find the inspection you want to view.

  3. Click Action next to the inspection.

  4. Select Comments.

  5. Add a comment or view comments previously added from the Web App or Mobile App.

Comments added from either the Web App or Mobile App are available in the same inspection conversation, allowing users with access to keep internal notes and communication together.
