This guide shows you how to run and upload an inspection on the SnapInspect Mobile App.
Uploading Inspections from the SnapInspect Mobile App
Once you complete an inspection on the SnapInspect Mobile App, you need to manually upload it to the cloud. Uploading secures the report and makes it available on the SnapInspect Web App for editing, viewing, or sending.
How to Complete and Upload an Inspection
Log In to the SnapInspect Mobile App
Navigate to the Asset you want to Inspect and click on it.
Tap the green 'New Inspection'.
If you're working with a multifamily property, select whether you want to inspect a specific unit or the entire asset.
Select the appropriate inspection type from the list that's available to you.
Add the necessary Areas to your inspection, then you can begin the inspection process.
Go through each section (e.g., kitchen, living room, exterior), clicking 'Done' when each area is finalized.
For each item:
Select its condition (e.g., Good, Fair, Poor) (If applicable).
Add comments or notes as needed (If applicable)
Take photos or videos directly in the app for documentation (If applicable).
After inspecting all areas, click 'Complete' in the top right hand corner.
Uploading Inspections
SnapInspect also allows users to upload in-progress inspections.
Open the Completed tab in the Mobile App.
Tap the Cloud icon next to individual inspections, or
Tap "Upload All" (green button) to upload all completed inspections at once.
Once uploaded, the inspection appears on the SnapInspect Web App.
If you still are not able to find the inspection after uploading, please contact the team at support@snapinspect.com.
Inspection Tabs
Tab Name | Description |
In Progress | View inspections that are still ongoing and have not been marked as "Complete". |
Completed | View inspections that have been marked as "Complete" but not yet uploaded. |
Uploaded | View inspections that have been uploaded from your device and are now available on the Web App. |
Please Note:
If you don't see an inspection on the Web App, check the mobile app under In Progress or Completed.
If you edit an uploaded inspection, you must re-upload it after saving.
If you have an inspection that’s marked as In Progress or Completed but hasn’t been uploaded yet, and the device it’s stored on is lost or damaged, unfortunately that inspection can’t be recovered.
To avoid this, we recommend uploading your inspections as soon as they’re complete.
Control types within a checklist may vary depending on the Company Setup.
