How to Run a Third Party Inspection (Request Inspection)

To start a third-party inspection, the user will SnapInspect mobile app. Once the recipient receives the Requested Inspection email, they will have links to download the app and conduct the inspection without needing a SnapInspect login. Request Inspection is useful for allowing residents or leaseholders to complete their inspections without the inspector needing to be there.

If you've received an email asking you to start an inspection that looks like the below image, this is a Request Inspection which does not require you to login login. Simply start the inspection from the "Start" button in your email after downloading the app, and you'll be able to begin the inspection.

How to Start The Inspection

There are three ways to start a Requested Inspection:

  1. Open the email and tap the Start button. This will open the SnapInspect app (if installed) and begin the inspection.

  2. In the SnapInspect mobile app, open the QR code scanner and scan the QR code from the Requested Inspection email.

    • Open The SnapInspect Mobile app

    • Press and Hold onto white "Check" Symbol to open the QR scanner

    • Scan the QR code attached to the Request Inspection Email.

  3. If scanning the QR code isnโ€™t possible, you can share it directly to SnapInspect to start the inspection.

    • Open the email and locate the QR code attachment..

    • Press and hold the QR code (on Android, tap the QR code, then tap the three dots in the top-right corner).

    • Tap "Share" and select "Copy to SnapInspect 3."

Once opened in the app, you can begin the inspection as usual.
