When using the SnapInspect mobile app, there are two different ways to start an inspection: through the Assets page or the Schedule page.

Starting an Inspection through an Asset
Navigate to the Assets page in the Mobile App and select the asset you want to inspect.
βSelect the green "New Inspection" button to start a new inspection.
βIf you're working with a multifamily property, select whether you want to inspect a specific unit or the entire asset.
Select the appropriate inspection type from the list.
Add the necessary Areas to your inspection, then you can begin the inspection process.
Starting a Scheduled Inspection
Please Note:
If you can't see your schedules inspections in this tab, please check in the WebApp and check your Schedules tab to ensure you have inspections scheduled to the account. If not, either create your schedule or ask an account admin to create this for you.
Navigate to the Schedules section in the Mobile App.
Select the relevant schedule from the list.
βOnce you're in the schedule menu, you'll see four options:
Route to Destination: Opens your Maps app with directions to the asset.
View Notes: Displays any notes added for this inspection.
Start Inspection: Select this to begin your scheduled inspection.
View Assets: Shows detailed asset information including Info, Contacts, Custom Information, and Blueprints.
Please Note:
If you have a scheduled inspection, make sure to start it from the Schedules Page.

When initiating an inspection from the Assets tab for an asset that already has a scheduled inspection, the following alert will be displayed:

β οΈ Why is this important?If you start an inspection directly from the Asset Page and a scheduled inspection of the same type already exists, the new inspection will be uploaded, but the scheduled one will remain open and will be marked as overdue once its due date has passed.
If the inspection is set as a recurring inspection, it will not trigger the next scheduled occurrence.
