When using the SnapInspect mobile app, there are two different ways to start an inspection: through the Assets page or the Schedule page.

Starting an Inspection through an Asset
Navigate to the Assets Page: Go to the Assets page and click on the relevant asset you want to inspect.
βStart a New Inspection: Click on the green "New Inspection" button to initiate a new inspection for that asset.
βSelect Unit or Asset (For Multifamily Properties): If you are working with a multifamily property, choose whether you want to inspect a specific unit or the entire asset.
Choose Inspection Type: Select the appropriate inspection type from the available options.
Add Required Areas: Add the necessary Areas to your inspection, and then you can begin the inspection process.

Starting a Scheduled Inspection
Navigate to the Schedules Section: Go to the Schedules section in the app to view your scheduled inspections.
βSelect the Relevant Schedule: Tap on the relevant schedule to begin your inspection. Use the tabs at the top (Today, Weekly, Monthly, Upcoming or Overdue) to find and select the appropriate date.
βChoose Your Action: Once you're in the schedule menu, you will have four options. To start the inspection, simply select "Start Inspection.
βRoute To Destination: This option will open your Maps app, providing directions to your asset.
View Notes: Selecting this will display any additional notes that may have been provided for the inspection.
Start Inspection: This button will initiate your selected scheduled inspection.
View Assets: Clicking this will show detailed asset information, including Info, Contacts, Custom Information, and any Blueprints.
Please Note:
If you have a scheduled inspection, make sure to start it from the Schedules Page.

β οΈ Why is this important?
Starting a scheduled inspection from the Asset Page may result in it being marked as overdue.
If the inspection is set to recur monthly, it will not trigger the next scheduled occurrence.
