In addition to the default roles, SnapInspect has introduced fully customizable user permissions to give you more control over user access. This feature is designed to help you manage what information a user can access, ensuring they only see relevant information.

Creating a Custom Role

  1. Navigate to the Users Menu and click 'Custom Role'

  2. Select '+New Role' and give it a name.

  3. Configure Permissions: Set options for Web App and Mobile App permissions by checking the desired boxes.

  4. Select the 'Inspection Types' tab to customize access further > Unselect checklists that you do not want the new custom role to have access to.

  5. Click "Save" to create a new custom role

Assigning Users to the Custom Role

  1. Once the custom role is created, click on the 'Action' button next to the relevant user.

  2. Select 'Edit' from the dropdown

  3. In the pop-up window, choose the newly created user role under the permission drop-down and save the changes.
