Due Diligence - Unit Walk-Through

This feature allows teams to complete large property or multi-unit inspections more efficiently by enabling multiple inspectors to work across different units at the same time, while keeping all inspection data organized under a single project.

How to Set Up Unit Walk Throughs

Before setting this up, please ensure to upload the units through the Import Asset function for the unit walkthrough.

Navigate to the 'Assets' tab, click the green menu icon on the right hand side to show the menu options, then click 'Export' to download the template. Once downloaded, open the file to add the building and units to this template at the bottom of the template. Then, reimport back into SnapInspect, ready for your Unit Walkthrough setup.


The format should be consistent with the above, and Building Address 1 and Building Address 2 containing the building details only, then Unit Address 1 and Unit Address 2 containing the unit details.

Setting up a Unit Walkthrough in SnapInspect

  1. Navigate to the Projects tab and select '+ New Project'.

  2. Fill out all necessary information like Reference, Project Name, Manager, Description, Members, and Inspection Type.

  3. Select 'Save'.

  4. Go to the Assets tab.

  5. Use the filter to type the building name, then click 'Search' to produce a list of all units for that asset.

  6. Click the ‘Select’ button.

  7. Select the properties you want to add.

  8. Click the green ‘Action’ button in the top right

  9. Choose ‘Add to Project’

  10. In the pop-up, select the correct Project and the Inspection Type.​

  11. Your unit walkthrough is now ready to be completed on the mobile app!

    Your team can now log in to the mobile app, go to the Projects tab, and complete inspections. As inspections are completed, project progress update automatically, so you can see inspection progress in realtime.

Please Note:

  • Each project has an admin and members. Members can complete assigned inspections, but cannot edit the project.
