How to View, Create and Complete all tasks for an Asset on the Mobile App

With the SnapInspect Mobile App, you can easily create and view all tasks associated with a specific asset, ensuring efficient tracking and management. It’s a simple way to stay organised and keep everything on track! Using the Asset Tasks you can create Tasks without having to do an inspection.

Viewing all Tasks for an Asset

Within the Asset Tasks feature, you can view and complete all tasks associated with a specific asset, ensuring everything stays up to date and properly managed.

  1. Open the SnapInspect Mobile App and navigate to the desired asset.

  2. Tap the Tasks button, identified by a blue arrow.

  3. A list of all tasks associated with the selected asset will be displayed, including details such as status, due dates, and priority. If you have a long list of tasks, you can quickly locate a specific Task using the Search Bar at the top.

Creating a Task

With the Asset Tasks feature, you can easily create a new task without the need to start and complete an inspection. This allows you to quickly assign and manage tasks, saving time while staying organised. Here’s how:

  1. Within the Tasks Menu tap the blue and white + icon in the bottom right corner to start creating a new task.

  2. Enter task details, such as:

    • Title: To differentiate between your Tasks

    • Due Date: Set a deadline for the task.

    • Assigned To: Specify the person for completing the task.

    • Status: Indicate the current status of the task.

    • Priority: Mark the importance level of the task.

    • Task Category: Choose a category that best describes the type of task.

    • Members: Add relevant members to the task.

    • Description: Provide detailed information about the task.

  3. After entering all details, tap the Save icon in the top right corner.

  4. Once saved, you’ll be redirected to the Task Detail screen, where you can:

    • ​Attach photos or videos to provide visual context.

    • Add custom information for specific task requirements.

    • Edit task details if needed.

Please Note:

  • To include custom information fields in your tasks, you must first create a Task Template in the SnapInspect WebApp.

Completing a Task

In the SnapInspect Mobile app, you can easily complete all tasks, ensuring they are marked as Completed and properly tracked. Here’s how:

  1. From the task list, select the task you want to complete.

  2. Within the Tasks Details screen, Tap the three dots in the top right corner.

  3. From the dropdown menu, select Complete Task.

  4. The task status will update, marking it as complete.
