During an inspection, you can capture photos directly within the SnapInspect app or upload images from your camera roll. Each photo can be enhanced with annotations like text, arrows, and other markers for added clarity.
How to Take Photos During an Inspection
In the SnapInspect app, tap the green New Inspection button to begin a new inspection.
Choose your inspection type to begin your inspection.
Navigate to the specific area/Item within the inspection where you plan to take photos.
Click on the camera icon to load up the camera.
Use your device’s camera controls to capture the photo. If you have photos saved in your gallery, click the two square icons in the top-right to load them.
Please Note:
You must have a camera control added into your checklist
You are not restricted to one image, keep tapping the capture icon to take more images.
SnapInspect supports image uploads in the following sizes:
900 x 900 pixels
1200 x 1200 pixels
1500 x 1500 pixels

How to Annotate Images
SnapInspect lets you annotate photos taken during inspections to highlight any faults or urgent issues. These annotations add clarity and detail to your reports, ensuring accurate communication of findings.
After taking a photo, click on the image you wish to edit.
Tap the Round Arrow to rotate the photo, or tap the Pencil icon in the top-right corner to annotate.
Annotate Your Photo: Use the options at the bottom to annotate your photo.
Pen: Use this tool to draw or add shapes, such as rectangles, ovals, lines, arrows, or text. To add text, click where you want to type; a text box will appear at the top of your screen. Enter your information here, and make any additional edits using the options on the right side of the box. When finished, click anywhere outside the box to apply your changes.
Stroke: Changes the color of the annotations.
Fill: Choose a Fill color to apply to shapes or areas.
Width: Set the Width to adjust the thickness of your annotations.
Undo: Use Undo to remove the last change you made.
Redo: Click Redo to restore the last change you removed with Undo.
Once you’ve completed your annotations, choose to Clear or Save them. On Android Tap the three dots in the top-right corner, then select Clear or Save.
