How can the Comments Library help streamline your inspection process?
SnapInspectโs Comment Library lets you save and reuse common comments, making inspections faster and more consistent with just a click.
Creating New Comments in the Comments Library
In the SnapInspect Web App, navigate to Company Settings > Comments Library.
Select either Shared Comments or Checklist Comments as needed.
โShared Comments: These are reusable comments applied across all inspections, ideal for commonly used phrases or feedback.
Checklist Comments: These are specific to individual areas or items within an inspection.โ
Creating New Shared Comments
In the Comments Library, select Shared Comments.
Click the + icon next to the Shared Comments title to open a new comment box on the right side of the screen.
โType your new comment in the box, then click Save in the bottom right corner to save it, or select Back to discard your changes.
โAfter saving, you can edit the comment by clicking the blue pencil icon or delete it by clicking the red bin icon.
Creating New Checklist Comments
In the Comments Library, select Checklist Comments.
Click the pencil icon next to the checklist to which you want to add comments.
Click the chat icon next to the area or item where you want to add a comment. In the text boxes on the right, select the white + icon, then enter a Title and your comment.
To save your changes, click the Save button. To discard your comment, click the Back button.

How to Copy Checklist Comments
To copy a comment to another area or item, click the paper icon in the top right corner of the comments text box.
โChoose the area or item you want to copy the comment to. If you wish to copy it to an item, first select the area, then select the item. If no item is selected, the comment will be copied to the area only.

Please Note:
Selecting Copy & Replace All will copy the selected comment and replace all existing comments in the item or area, removing any additional comments previously added.
โSelecting Copy will simply add the comment to the area or item without removing other existing comments.
Using Comments Library on the Mobile App
To access and use the comments you've created on the mobile app:
Start your inspection and navigate to the relevant area.
Tap on the comment box that contains an existing or shared comment.
Select 'Comments Library' to view all available comments.
โPick comments from the Shared, Area, or Items menus. To delete a comment, click the red minus icon on the left; to reorder comments, drag them using the three lines on the right.
โOnce you've selected your comments, tap Save in the top-right corner.
โIn the comments menu, include any extra information as needed, then select Save again. Your comment will be successfully added to the item.

Using Comments Library on the Web App
To access and use the comments you've created on the webapp:
Navigate to the Inspections tab and select Action > Edit Inspection on the inspection you'd like to add the comment to.

โSelect the relevant area and navigate to the item.
Type the hashtag symbol "#" in the comments field
A list of available comments will appear, choose the desired comment from the dropdown.
โClick the "Save" icon to save the comment.
