SnapInspect's Remember Area Layout feature saves the checklist structure for a specific asset, such as the number of rooms in a building. Once enabled, SnapInspect remembers the setup, so you won't need to reconfigure it for future inspections of the same asset, making repeat inspections faster and more efficient.

How to Enable Remember Area Layout

  • Navigate to the Checklist section of the SnapInspect Web App

  • Choose the Inspection Type (blue icon) you want to enable the Remember Area Layout feature for

  • Check Remember Area Layout and update

  • Select the three lines to the right of the inspection type you've just toggled

  • In the dropdown select Config

  • Check 'Enable this option to remember asset layout/template for future inspections'

Note: When you conduct an inspection for a property for the first time, you define its layout - such as rooms like "Room," "Entrance," etc. SnapInspect saves this configuration, so during subsequent inspections, the system automatically loads the previously defined layout, eliminating the need to re-enter this information each time.
