Edit General Inspection Details

If you have run an inspection but need to change some of the details, you can edit things like inspection type (if you've accidentally chosen the wrong inspection, change the asset (if you've accidentally run the inspection on the wrong asset), change the inspector, and change the inspection dates and times.

Please Note:
When changing the inspection type, you can only select a new inspection type if it is linked to the same checklist as the current one.

For example, if you need to change a Move In inspection to a Move Out inspection, and both use the same checklist, you can follow the steps below to make the change.

  1. Go to the 'Inspections' section in the left sidebar of the Web App.

  2. Click the Action button beside a specific inspection.

  3. Select 'Edit Inspection' from the dropdown.

  4. Select the 'Edit Inspection Details' button

  5. Make any necessary edits

  6. Select the green 'Update Inspection Details' button

Please Note:

  • Some editing is restricted by permissions. If you're unable to make the change, please reach out to someone with higher access privileges, such as a user with the 'Company Owner' or 'Account Owner' role, who can assist you with making the update.
