When creating a checklist some of the end users may be third party inspectors, tenants (when using request inspection)  or newer members of your inspection team that may need some prompts during the inspection. Using the instructions function will help inspectors get the job done right the first time.

So what does instructions look like in app?  See the image below. You will notice text underneath the Area (Entrance) and also underneath the item (locks, ceiling).

How to add instructions?

You will need to log in to the web app and go the "Checklist" tab to edit your checklist. Choose your area for example "Entrance" then go to settings button and select "View/Edit Area Instructions".

You can also add instruction on each item if you want to by clicking first. "View/Edit Items" then on the item clicking "Settings" and sleectin "View/Edit Item Instructions" see below:

Lastly, make sure to enable instructions on your mobile app inside the settings so that inspectors can see it in the field!
