Setting Up Instructions for Checklists

SnapInspect allows you to set up Instructions per area or item that inspectors will see when running an inspection, whether that be certain things to do or look out for.

How to Set Up Instructions

Instructions are visible only during inspections and won’t appear in your final reports, allowing you to provide detailed guidance without adding to the official documentation.

  1. In the SnapInspect Web App, navigate to the Checklist section.

  2. Select the Checklist (pencil icon) you want to edit.

  3. Expand the Area or Item using the blue arrow on the left-hand side.

  4. Click the three blue lines next to the Item or Area you want to add instructions to.
    ​

  5. In the dropdown menu, select the option labeled 'Edit Instruction.'

  6. In the provided text field, enter any instructions that you find necessary for the inspection.
    ​

  7. Be sure to press 'Update' to save your changes.
    ​

Please Note:

  • To display instructions, ensure Display Instructions is enabled in the Mobile App settings; otherwise, the (i) button will not appear.
