Allow Multiple Areas
This setting works only if “Allow Multiple Areas” is enabled in the Checklist Area section.
If this option is not selected, only one area will be available by default.
Users will not be able to change the layout when running the inspection.
Checklist Area Numbers
Each area in the checklist can have a default number assigned (0 or higher).
When running an inspection in the mobile app, this number appears as the suggested count for the property.
Inspectors can still adjust this number per property if needed.
Area Layout with Custom Fields
You can use Custom Fields to define area counts for specific properties.
Example: A “Bedrooms” custom field could specify “3 bedrooms.”
Logic order:
If Allow Multiple Areas is enabled, the system checks Custom Fields first when starting an inspection.
If the area exists in the custom fields and contains a number, that number is used and displayed.
If no custom field is present, the system falls back to the checklist’s predefined number.
Important:
For custom field numbers to work, the corresponding checklist area should be set to 0.
If the checklist area is set to 1 and the custom field is also 1 or more, the system will correctly use the custom field number.
However, if the custom field is 0 and the checklist area is pre-set to 1, the area will not update to 0.

Remember Area Layout
Enabling Remember Area Layout saves the area layout after the first inspection.
Users can still adjust areas during the first inspection before the layout is saved.
Future inspections will use the saved layout unless changes are made.
