BOX Integration

Integrate your SnapInspect account with your BOX account.

Updated over 2 weeks ago

SnapInspect can seamlessly integrate with your BOX account, allowing all your photos, inspection reports, and videos to be securely uploaded directly to your personal BOX account.

Sync Without the Clutter

Our Box integration now supports smart syncing for edited inspections. When a user makes changes to an inspection report - whether via the mobile app or the web - the updated report is automatically synced back to the same Box file (no duplicates, no confusion).

If you need to review earlier versions of the report, simply use Box’s Version History feature to access the complete revision timeline.

Additionally, if a resident completes a Review on an inspection, that updated version will also be re-synced to Box automatically.

Please Note:

  • This version-aware syncing is unique to Box. Other cloud storage platforms like Dropbox or Google Drive do not currently support this functionality.

How to integrate with BOX?

  • Open Company Settings from the bottom of the left-hand menu.

  • Open Settings and click on Integrations.

  • Click on Link to Box.

  • This will prompt you to login to your BOX account and authorize the integration.

Once logged in, the integration is complete.

Custom Folder

By default, SnapInspect saves inspections and photos in a folder named SnapInspect/[[Title]]/[[Inspection Date]]. To customize this folder structure, follow these steps:

  1. Click "Click Here to Setup Custom Box Folder."

  2. Select "Enable Custom Box Folder."

  3. In the Report Folder field, enter the desired path for saving PDF reports.

  4. In the Media Folder field, specify the path for saving inspection photos.

You can enhance your folder paths using dynamic fields enclosed in double brackets ([[...]]). In the example shown, we used the following paths:
Report Folder: /[[Address]]/[[Inspection Title]]/Inspections/

Media Folder: /[[Address]]/[[Inspection Title]]/Media/

These fields can include variables such as Inspection Date, Address, or Inspector.

Once you’ve configured the paths, click Save to apply your changes.
