Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) helps secure your account by requiring a second verification step after entering your password. Depending on your organization's security settings, MFA can be configured as Optional, Alert, or Required.
Multi-Factor Authentication Modes
Your organization can configure Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) using one of the following modes:
Optional: MFA is available but not required. If you have already configured MFA, you'll be prompted to enter a six-digit verification code when signing in. If you haven't configured MFA, you'll sign in using only your password.
Alert: You'll be prompted to set up MFA when signing in. You can choose Skip to postpone setup and be reminded again after 30 days.
Required: MFA must be configured before you can access your account. You'll need to complete the setup or sign out.

Authentication Methods
Choose one of the following methods to verify your identity when signing in.
Authenticator App
Use a compatible authenticator application, such as Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, or any TOTP-compatible app.
Click 'Set up' next to Authenticator App.
Scan the displayed QR code using your authenticator app.
Enter the generated six-digit verification code.
Click 'Verify' to complete the setup.
Email Code
Use your registered email address to receive a verification code.
Click 'Set up' next to Email Code.
Retrieve the six-digit verification code sent to your email address.
Enter the verification code.
Click 'Verify' to complete the setup.
Backup Codes
After Multi-Factor Authentication has been configured, a set of backup codes is generated.
Backup codes can be used to sign in if you no longer have access to your configured authentication method. Each backup code can only be used once, so store them in a secure location.
Signing In with Multi-Factor Authentication
After Multi-Factor Authentication has been configured, you'll be prompted to enter a six-digit verification code when signing in or use one of your backup codes.
If you're signing in on a trusted device, you can select Don't ask again on this device for 30 days to reduce how often you're prompted for a verification code.
