Asset status is used to note the current standing of a particular asset or building.

Much Like inspection status, You can customize the asset status to suit your companies needs.

To set-up asset status go to the "Company Settings" tab accessible via the SnapInspect web app.

Click on the "general settings" Sub-tab.

Next, scroll down the options until you see "Asset Status". Click on the blue View/Edit button.

A pop up menu will appear which enables you to choose the name and color code of each asset status you wish to have.

Status Name - This is simply the title of each status and  what you will see in the "status" column when you are viewing your assets.

Color - What color the status will be when displayed on your web or mobile app.

Primary- Selecting this option means that this status will automatically get assigned to your assets. For example if you select the primary option for "Unit Clean" SnapInspect will automatically assign that status for each new asset. You can only have one primary status.

Building- This option is suited for our Multi-family and Student-housing users. The building option allows you to assign a status to describe an entire building. For example "Building clean".

It's important to note that if you select this option it will not be available to select for singular assets, only buildings.

Once you have set-up asset status to suit your companies needs, you can view our "status log". The status log allows you to see the history of your assets status from the beginning.

To update the status of an asset locate the asset you wish to update from the "assets" tab. Next click the green "action" drop down button. From here you need to click "Update status" and choose which status you would like to update the asset to.

To view your assets status log locate the asset from the "assets" tab. Next click the green "action" drop down button. Click on the "Status Logs" option. This is where you can view every status that has been assigned to the asset with a time and date stamp.
