The export feature allows you to load all of your assets into an excel sheet directly from SnapInspect.

Firstly, you need to select the "Assets" tab from the web-app. The Assets tab can be found on your top left-hand side of the screen.

Once you have opened the asset tab, you will see four buttons on the top right-hand side of the screen:

  • Bulk Operation

  • Import Assets

  • Export

  • New Asset

Clicking the red ‘Export’ button will generate an instant data dump into an excel spreadsheet. This means your entire asset portfolio on snapinspect will be generated into an excel spreadsheet.

The below image is what most clients will see. You might be familiar with some of the columns which are identical to that of the bulk upload function.

You might have noticed already that there are two columns highlighted in red. These columns should never be altered. The reason being, each building/asset has been assigned a specific asset ID and building ID. This means when you need to update/upload your changes back to the server that the server will be able to locate the asset in the database to adjust and update the changes you have made for each asset.
